CONTEST RULES
By participating in the End of Winter Contest (from here forth known as the Contest), each person who buys a ticket (known as Entrant) fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning any prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
Eligibility:
The contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. The contest is open to anyone over the age of 18.
Timing:
The contest begins March 13, 2024 and ends when declared by the organizers at least one day before the barrel sinks, or the day before the barrel sinks.
Participation:
By participating, entrants, winners and recipients(s) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that:
1. Ticket forms must be filled out completely.
2. The Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout and their designees and assigns and all of their respective officers, directors, chairmen and members and agents shall have no liability and will be held harmless for any liability, loss, injury or death to entrant, recipient(s) (if any), or any other person, including, without limitation, damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
3. All decisions regarding the contest, disputes or otherwise, will be made by the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout End of Winter Committee, and will be final and binding.
4. The clock is set on Central Daylight Time and the winning prediction will be based on this clock. The winning prediction will be the one closest to the actual time (Month, Day, Hour and Minute) that the barrel sinks and stops the clock.
5. In case of a tie the prize will be divided equally among the winning contestants.
6. The Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout is not responsible for misdirected, lost, late or delayed entries.
7. The Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout will attempt to contact the winner at the ticket address. If the winner fails to respond by June 15, 2024 the winnings return to the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout.
8. Payoff (50 per cent of total ticket sales) will be made no later than June 30, 2024.
